Opposed to morning-after pill
"We feel that any form of abortion is wrong," said UW-Madison junior Andre Jacque, president of the Pro-Life Action League… "Our campus has already agreed to not support the distribution of RU-486 [known as the day-after pill]. It is not the university's responsibility to make abortion available to anyone," Jacque said.

Jacque: Just because the Supreme Court says we have to, doesn't mean we should!
Andre Jacque, spokesperson for state Sen. Tom Reynolds, R-West Allis, the leading opponent of the bill [which would allow the children of undocumented immigrants to be considered for in-state tuition at UW-Madison], said this will be difficult to implement. The promise to file a visa application is not feasible, he said. "Just because there was a Supreme Court decision doesn't mean that we should be extending that to higher education and extend taxpayer funding benefits," Jacque said.
Would eliminate top income bracket, capital gains and combined reporting
JACQUE: "Certainly when we reduce the capital gains exclusion, we are doing a number of things that penalize investment and growing new jobs...We need to be more responsive to the overall tax and regulatory burden, creating a climate that’s conducive to businesses wanting to locate and expand here...
WALTERS: So, you would try to repeal both combined reporting and the higher tasxes on capital gains?
JACQUE: Absolutely
WALTERS: ...We created a new 7.75 tax bracket for the richest. Is that also something you want to take off the books, repeal?
JACQUE: ...I certainly would support repealing that as well.
