NAME:
Erik Severson
REPRESENTS:
28th Assembly District
INTERESTS:
Doing nothing to reduce the cost of health care, putting government in charge of family planning, repeating the lie that unemployed people don't play taxes.

"I want to help the big businesses out so they hire people...the unemployed pay no taxes."
Erik Severson, candidate debate, 9/16/2010
CALLER: "This really bothers me that the big business is so controlling our very lives. Who is supposed to pay the taxes if they don’t? I mean if they don’t pay their fair share, the people on the top don’t pay their fair share, who’s gonna pay them?"
SEVERSON: "You know, the question which she ask, you know, who's going to pay those taxes...You know, there’s a couple things with that. One, well, what exactly do you mean by the word fair?"
Candidate debate, 9/16/2010
"It [health insurance reform], in my opinion, is unconstitutional. And, I don’t believe that the government would be able to run health care any better, in fact, I think they would do much worse than how things are right now."
"We need to keep taxes low for businesses so that businesses not only can survive in Wisconsin but that they will thrive here in this state."
